Cult. plant acquired indirectly from Mexico: Veracruz: Town of Chavarillo. Obtained from a local nursery (Vivero Ejidal "Monte Oscuro"). 500m. Seeds obtained from a number of female cones from a local wild population; plants grown by local farmers. Type of material: 2 year old plants (seeds collected in 1991). Mexico Exp. 1993.
