Locality: Arid Lands Ecological Reserve, USFWS/DOE, Gate 117 Road (controlled access area; escorted by PNWNL scientist), 10 miles north of Fargo collection CUS-2448, Benton County.

Environment description: Alluvial fan, relatively flat slope below Rattlesnake Hills, rocky, sandy. Many mature plants with last year's seed stalks, grassy, sagebrush, no trees.
Number of plants sampled: 100
Comment: Population size 1000's; collected from a population of maybe 500 plants, but less than 0.1 mile north was a much larger population not collected; seed heads with beetles and often no seeds.
