A total of 19 sites were sampled representing 5 counties including Black Hawk (7 sites), Buchanan (5 sites), Polk, Delaware (4 sites), Johnson (2 sites).

Description:
Central Iowa Germplasm was developed by bulking samples followed by a regeneration cycle executed at the University of Northern Iowa Tallgrass Prairie Center where plots were separated via distance of circa 1,500 feet from other Tradescantia ohiensis plots. Original seed was collected from remnant prairies in the central one-third of counties in Iowa.
