Type = Plum. Per plums of New York: "Obtained from a seed of Perdrigon Violet by Leigel and dedicated by him to M. de Flotow, of Dresden . . . Tree vigorous, very productive; fruit small, spherical, yellow, dotted with red on the sunny side; stem medium in length and size; cavity shallow; flesh yellow, tender, soft, sweet, of Apricot flavor, very pleasant; early." Per World of Fruit: "10% open: 10/04. Full Flower: 15/04. 90% over: 24/04. Fruit: Colour: purple-red. Size: medium-large. Shape: oval-oblong. Season: Mid August. Use: Dessert. Stone: semi-clinging."
