Narrative
Seed came from three intermediate alkaloid plants of Lupinus luteus cv. Sulfa. Plants tested intermediate on the Dragondorff filter paper. No vernalization was needed in the greenhouse and all plants flowered concurrently. Cultivar 'Sulfa' was developed in Germany in 1957 and is later flowering than cultivars Start, Kiev Mutant, and Kiev Early. Regeneration history from the origin 'Sulfa' shows that outcrossing was very probable.
