Environment description: Sandy soil. The Volcanic plateau forms the largest lake in Georgia (Paravani) and comprises steep peaks, volcanic plain and historic lava flows. The plateau is composed of Upper Creataceous and Tertiary igneous rocks.
Number of plants sampled: 100
Comment: Vegetation is represented by wet meadows in the surrounding of Lake Paravani. Outstanding plant of this area is Gladiolus javakheticus, local endemic species growing near the lake.
