Locality: Collected along road between Gergeti and Samba near the town of Kazbegi in the Khevi province, Georgia (Collector's notes).

Environment description: Population contained approximately 1000 individual plants; was frequent and uniform. Size of the site was 1000 square meters, 25 degrees slope with N.E. aspect (Collector's notes).
Number of plants sampled: 100
Comment: Collected from site 7. Subalpine meadows altering with artificially planted pine forest along the road to church Sameba. Polydominant subalpine meadows with diversity of species were represented along the road (Collector's notes).

Narrative
Perennial 15-40 cm tall herb. Stem erect or decumbent, simple or branched, pubescent. Stipules lanceolate, acuminate. Basal leaves with long petioles, Upper leaves on shorter petioles. They possess three lanceolate or linear pubescent leaflets. Head is ovate, flowers on short peduncle, Calyx tube has 20 veins. Teeth are linear with acuminated tip. Corolla prrple reddish, rarely pale rose or whitish. Fruit one seeded. Reproductive period from May to September. Grows on forest openings, dry meadows, up tp subalpine zone (Data collection form).
