Locality: Collected on Tskhratskaro Pass near the town of Bakuriani in the Kartli province, Georgia (Collector's notes).
Coordinates: 41.7144, 43.5158 (Map it)
Elevation: 2130m.

Environment description: Population contained approximately 500 individual plants; was frequent and uniform. Size of the site was 1000 square meters, 25 degrees slope with N.W. aspect (Collector's notes).
Number of plants sampled: 100
Comment: Collected from site 5. T. canescence is growing in subalpine meadow covering steep slopes of Tskhratskaro Pass. It is noteworthy that these are secondary meadows originating on the place of disturbed pine forest, remnants of which are still kept as big trees.

Narrative
Perennial 20-40 cm tall herb. Stem spreading or decumbent, branched, pubescent. Stipules lanceolate; pubescent. Basal leaves with long petioles,. Upper leaves on shorter petioles. They possess three obovate or oblong obovate pubescent leaflets. Head is ovate, 30-50 mm in diameter, flowers on short peduncle. Calyx tube has strongly expressed veins. Teeth are linear with hairs exept on the tip. One of them is slightly longer than other teeth and calyx tube. Corolla pale yellow or whitish, up to 20 mm long After anthesis it becomes brownish. Fruit one seeded. Reproductive period from May to September. Grows on subalpine and alpine meadows, forest edges.
