In research forest of the North Forest Research Laboratory, near Nayoro, in bog 4 km NE of the main building.

Environment description:
Plants were intermingled with the Sphagnum throughout the bog. Picea glehnii and bamboo at edge of bog.
Comment:
USDA ARS 2004 Plant Expedition in association with MAFF Vaccinium oxycoccos were in flower, no fruit present. The bog itself was fairly solid to walk on, although big areas of open water were present in some locations.
