Environment description: Growing in damp swampy area near the river (weir present). Associated species: under Populus, Betula, Actinidia kolomikta, Hydrangea and Abies.
Comment: USDA ARS 2004 Plant Expedition in association with MAFF Only a few ripe fruits taken. Plants were growing in the dark of the forest, adjacent to Ribes triste.
