Environment description: Reforested area for Larix kaempferi. Associated vegetation: Trilium, bamboo, Glycera, Dryopteris, Rubus parviflora, Hydrangea, Rubus phoenocolasius, Oxalis, Gallium and Actinidia polygamma. Soil organic duff, north facing slope.
Comment: USDA ARS 2004 Plant Expedition in association with MAFF Fragaria growing in disturbed areas along open edges of forest path.
