Comment: Population abundant; uniform distribution. Herbarium specimens collected; stored at the USNA.

Perennial; height 150 cm; rhizome shortly crouching; stem upright, naked, striated, under spikes short pubescent; leaf sheath naked, plain, pointed, 12-27 long; spike 2 row, not thick, ?-8 cm long, 1.5-2 cm wide; spikelet sessile, 5-7 mm wide; spikelet glume with 3 veins, lanceolate, up to 5 mm long.
