Annual, 10-20 cm high, stem curved at plant initiation; leaves narrow, linear; spike 1.5-5 cm long, solid rachis, spikelets are set in three, spikelet glumes of mid spikelet is setiferous, sp. glumes are not expanded at the base of spikelet.
