Environment description: 10% slope, northwestern exposure, 279mm average precipitation, with Philadelphus sp., Ribes sp., Prunus sp. Artemisia tridentata, Clematis sp., Bramus tectorum, mosses Base of basalt talus slope, deep rubble with litter
Comment: multiple-stemmed and thicket-forming, low (less than 6 ft), different apperance from typical serviceberry, leaves blunter, more blue-gren, berries later, collected from single plant
