Narrative
Early maturing, bush type, determinate, heritage bean with a tan-yellow seed belonging to the Canario mexicano market class, with wide adaptation on the prairies. One of the earliest maturing dry beans, comparable to AC Redbond, earlier than the US standard varieties grown in southern Alberta, such as NW63 (small red), Othello (pinto), US1140 (great northern), and Viva (pink). Seed weight larger than most western-prairie market classes, on the large end of pinto. Lodging resistance excellent. Moderately resistant to white mold with most standard checks being more susceptible.
