Narrative
Moneyloupe (ACX-3908), muskmelon (F1), is an Eastern Shipper F1, most similar to Saticoy. Monoecious vine, adapted to most areas; maturity 78 days from seeding to harvest. Fruit 21 x 17 cm, 3178 grams; oval, netted, conspicuous blossom scar, ribs present (10 per fruit, 32 mm rib width at medial, netted); sutures shallow, netted, with excellent long distance shipping. Fruits abscission when overripe. Rind net abundant, covers entire fruit, medium coarse, complete interlacing with medium deep interstices. Rind hard, cream at edible maturity to buff at full maturity with cream mottling and creamy buff sutures (furrows). Flesh orange, faint aroma, flavor somewhat spicy. Resistant to powdery mildew race 1 and 2, crown blight, sulphur burn, fusarium wild 0, 1, and 2.
