Locality: Guanajuato in Mexico, in a canyoun 0.5 km west of Vocan Baea, in county Valle de Santiago.

Elevation: 1850m.
Environment description: Subtropical shrub with prickly pear and elephant cacti, whitehorn and other Acacia, and other microphyllous trees. Understory of Bouteloua grass amd Compositae. Organic, sandy soil with good drainage, developed from basalt and volanic ashes
Comment: Open sunny habitat.Abuntant where no grazing.
