Description:
A side-by-side grow-out of two accessions with IEC 178 identifiers was used to determine if they were duplicates. PI 649347 and Ames 10985 are unlike and NOT duplicates because Ames 10985 has purple edges on the dry anthers and PI 649347 has white dry anthers. PI 649347 is also shorter and stockier than Ames 10985. Observed by David Brenner on rows 423 and 424 in a fall 2021 greenhouse planting.
