Locality: North of Zhongdian, Yunnan China.
Elevation: 3400m.
Comment: Not particularly floriferous judging by the paucituy of hips. 3'high. Incredible translucent red ornamentla thorns on a very compact plant. Plants had already started to turn wine red. Tight compact leaves in 9's. Few seeds.
