Environment description: Dry hot conditions, evergreen shrub with oblong, dark blue, "bloomy' drupes. Growing on gentle E. slope above road cut in grazed scrub of Pinus yunnanensis, Daphne aurantiaca, rocky, clayey, soil but seemed seasonally dry.
Comment: Preliminarily ID's as O. delavayi but the serration on the leaves is far too significant to fit the more subdued description of 1mm. serration as found in the Flora of China. Might be a distinct subspecies.
