Narrative
Heterogeneous and heterozygous population of autotetraploid spring rye with all features associated with chromosome doubling. These features are associated with larger cell size which is expressed as increased pollen diameter, higher seed weight and larger plant size. Adapted to the southeastern U.S. Moderately resistant to foliar (fungal) diseases prevalent in the southeastern U.S. Straw length is about 150 cm and seed weight is approx. 2.61 g/100 seeds
