Locality: Uryu Experimental Forest, Horokanai Town, Hokkaido. North Provinance. North of Shumarinai Lake, between Dorokawa River and Putokamaestu River. Forest section 319.

Environment description: Mixed deciduous/coniferous forest. South West Aspect. Found on top of roadside embankment. Parent rock welded volcanic tuff, with a soil type of fertile sandy loam.
