Locality: Fruit was purchased at a market in Jilin City in Jilin Province.
Environment description: Region regularly sees -40 degrees.
Comment: Collector sent seeds to Plant Germplasm Quarantine Office, Beltsville, MD. Collector was told they have no disease (no brown rot) or insect problems. In addition he was told that the peach was started/found in Jilin in 1989 and may have orginally come from Hunjun near Russia.
