Locality: Central, coastal California at Franklin Point, about two miles north of Scott Creek Beach.

Habitat: Wild Habitat
Environment description: Loose, white sand dunes overlooking the ocean (about 100 feet away). Some succulents and grasses, although was mostly strawberry.
Comment: Were fruiting on August 1, 1975, but not when collected. Unusually large, deep red fruit. Probably salt tolerant as within ocean spray. Only water source was fog in mornings.

Female; short day; large; red fruited; highest yield potential of any North American clone analyzed to date; found on dunes, so probably has high salt and drought tolerance, as well as low nutrient needs; elite representative of subsp. pacifica from central California.
