Environment description: Edge of forest. Partial shade, 0-1% slope with a northeastern exposure. Sandy loam, grey forest soils. Podzolic/Chernozem transitional soil. Associated with Acer campestre, Fraxinus, Quercus, and Tilia cordata.
Comment: Site number 5. Collection from 4-5 oaks in area bulked together.

Narrative
Plants were frequently abundant. Canopy tree of 60-70 feet with a 30 inch caliper. Forester recommends collecting seed after first frost occurs on the ground. Collections in early September are questionable.
