Environment description: West side of mountain valley, areas along & adjacent to stream. Moisture drains from forested uplands into valley, forming wet areas subject to frost heaving. Deeper soils with better drainage are very high yielding & used as hay fields.
Comment: Vegetation dominated by forbs (Vicia, Hedysarum, Allium, Iris).
