Environment description: A pass through Larix forest area between two sub-drainages on west side of road. Soils are gravelly and formed from eroded granite. 25% slope with an eastern aspect.
Comment: Larix overstory with understory dominated by forbs (Geranium, Vicia, Astragalus), tall grasses (Elymus, Calamagrostis), and no shrubs.
