Narrative
Developed by I. V. Michurin and released out of Leningrad (St. Petersburg), Russia. The name means large green (emerald) fruit. Selection of Actinidia kolomikta. The fruit is very large, smooth-skinned, sugar content is 14% when ripe, has a high vitamin C content and excellent flavor. The vine is moderately vigorous, very productive, and ornamental. It is cold hardy to -35 F.
