Environment description: Blackland prairie and savannah under restoration. Partial to full sun on a gentle slope. Sandy, well drained soil with low stoniness.
Number of plants sampled: 46
Associated species: Schizachyrium scoparium, Panicum anceps, Panicum virgatum, Sorghastrum nutans, Echinacea pallida, Liatris aspera, Euphorbia bicolor, Silphium laciniatum, and Eryngium.
Comment: Assisted by Douglas Zollner (CNO 105119). Site number 055. 46 coneflowers collected. Two close subpopulations were bulked, with an estimated total population size of 400 specimens.
