Type = Table seedless. The Agricultural Research Service, United States Department of Agriculture, hereby releases for propagation the grape cultivar Black Emerald, formerly tested as A12-137. It is being released to provide an early-ripening black seedless grape for the fresh market. BLACK EMERALD resulted from the cross A69-190 =(c78-53 = (Blackrose x 43-13N = (62-45 = (Maraville x Tafafihi Ahmer) x 64-18 = (Muscat of Alexandria x sultanina))) X B5-144 =(Blackrose x Flame Seedless)) X C84-116 = (B35-106 =(Blackrose x C35-073 =(P45-98=((
