Narrative
Type = Cherry. From "Comparison of Mazzard, Mahaleb and Hybrid Rootstocks for 'Montmorency' Cherry (Prunus cerasus L.)" by M.N. Westwood, A.N. Roberts, and H.O. Bjornstad: P. mahaleb is untolerant of poorly drained soils and instead performs best with light soils; tart cherries perform well on rootstock; resistant to bacterial canker; observed ease of vegetative propagation by layerage; induces good growth and high yield."
