Environment description: Open wooded area. Associated plants: Vaccinium vitis-idaeus, Sitka Spruce, Black Cottonwood, horsetail and lycopodium. Found on knolls under taller trees.
Comment: Fruits were dark-red-maroon in color with glandular hairs. Thornless stems. Open pollinated population sample collected from about 5 - 6 plants. Multiple leader shrubs with many rooted suckers attached through rhyzomes.
