Environment description: Very dry sandy uplands (were topsoil remains). Much of the vegetation typical for the southern U.S. inner coastal plain. Quercus stellata var. margareta (running post oak) found on top of the hill. Ironstone layer in siol profile.
Comment: Small population collection of open pollenated fruit; fruit purple, variable size. Auburn University herbarium location.
