Narrative
Growth habit erect, 0.5-1.0 m. Leaves alternate, pinnately compound. Seed weight approx. 300 mg 100 seed-1, produced in erect spikes 2-10 cm in length. Flowers Aug.-Sept. The in vitro digestible dry matter and crude protein concentrations in late Aug. approx 500 g kg-1 and 140 g kg-1 respectively.
