Environment description: South facing, very steep slope on eroding granite in full sun, very well drained and dry. In association with Spirea sp., Rhamnus sp., Deutzia sp., Lonicera sp. and grasses.
Comment: Wild-collected from two plants. Deciduous, single-stemmed tree with numerous horizontal branches; trees 9 to 10 m tall Five herbarium specimens collected.
