Narrative
2N annual ryegrass. Tall, leaves wide, tillers profusely. Released in South Africa due to its late season, high yield growth potential. Resistant to crown rust (Puccinia coronata). High temperature seed dormancy, good reseeding potential. In South Africa produced higher yields and growth curve later than Midmar, produced forage April through early January. High infection with fungal endophyte (Acremonium lolii), no detrimental animal effects observed.
