Locality: Ilgaz Daglari, 'Big' Ilgaz Dag, about 40 km south of Kastamonu, and 6 km east of Highway 765 crossing of Ilgaz Pass.
Coordinates: 41.0833, 33.7833 (Map it)
Elevation: 2100m.
Environment description: Subalpine, open Pinus sylvestris forest, southeast exposure slopes of 15-30%, loamy, limestone soils. Common from forest to high alpine.
