Locality: Southeastern Gotland, close to and 2 km along coast south of the stream Naarsaan, 20 km south of Ljugarn.

Habitat: Wild Habitat
Environment description: The soil is heavy clay and very rich in Calcium about 50 cm deep over calcium bedrock. A very dry site in the summer. Former pasture for cattle, sheep and horse. Associated with Quercus, Betula, Fraxinus and Ulmus.
Comment: F. viridis dislikes the shadows more than its cosine Fragaria vesca.
