Comment: One of 3 indigenous pop. in Albania considered by Lufter Xhuveli to be center of diversity for pomegranate. Pop. extends N into Montenegro. Flowering & fruiting at same time. Many growing in area & much var. in shrub ht., fruit color & size

Narrative
Shrubs 2-3m tall, 2m wide, bushy compact. Foliage dark glossy green, petiole red, branches tan. Leaves lanceolate, 3cm long x 1-1.25cm wide. Flowers bright orange, petals thick and fleshy. Pulp white to light pink. Fruit outer flesh color varied from green background with slight red blush to completely red. Fruit size varied between 5-10cm in diamter.
