Locality: Outskirts of Gweru town on road to Bulawayo. Elevation 1420 m. Near 19 25'S, 29 50'E.
Environment description: Shrubby tree, 3m tall, growing in developed area, possibly planted but occuring naturally further to the east and north, on reddish clay soils with Dichrostachys cinerea, Grewia flavescens, Lonchocarpus capassa.
