Narrative
Spring habit, awned, and standard height. Purple coleoptile, and erect juvenile growth habit. Leaves medium green, medium wide,and medium long with glabrous sheaths and blades. Flag leaf medium green, medium wide, and medium long with upright attitude. Kernels amber color, soft, medium wide amd medium long. Good combination of high yield, early maturity, and good resistance to leaf rust, bunt, loose smut, and powdery mildew. Well adapted to black and brown soils of Saskatchewan, and to the brown and the irrigation areas of Alberta. Susceptible to sprouting and has shown heterogenous reaction to stem rust.
