Narrative
An herbaceous, climbing member of the pumpkin family, interesting on account of the handsome foliage with the development of remarkably long tendrils. Large perennial root, sliced and dried, appears on the drug market under the name Bryonia, and is very highly valued especially in homeopathic medicine. (R.H. True)
