Locality: Near Ghengis Khan Monument approximately 100 km east of Tariat Research Station. Along small river draining the southern end of Hentii Mountains into Herlen River.
Coordinates: 47.1064, 109.1861 (Map it)
Elevation: 1372m.
Environment description: Grass steppe. Marshy ground along river with surface dominated by crumholtz mounds. Typical marsh soils. Aspect S-SE, 1-2% slope.
Comment: Dominant vegetation: Poa pratensis, Achnatherum splendens.
