For use in wetland situations, tolerant of periodic flooding. To be used on impoundment sites subject to fluctuating water levels, for food and cover for wildlife. Adapted to fine and coarse soils. Very tolerant of flooding. Area of adaptation New Brunswick to Florida, west to southern Minnesota, Arizona, and central California.
