Environment description: Very common on cut-over forest floor under tall pines and at edge of woods, shade.
Comment: Small multi-stemmed irreg decid shrub ca 1.3 m tall, cut and resprouted, forming thickets; lvs dull green above, paler, lustrous beneath; fls white, receptacle pink, slightly fragrant.
