Environment description: Growing in an open sunny site in heavy herbaceous undergrowth with Philadelphus sp., Acer grosseri, Spiraea sp., and Ampelopsis sp.
Comment: Single-stemmed herbaceous plant, without side branches, 0.7 meters tall; foliage is finely dissected; flowers are scarlet red; fruit is an elongated pod 7.5 cm long and 0.3 to 0.5 cm wide.
