Environment description: In moist woodland valley on rocky ledge with Lindera glauca, Actinidia chinensis, Acer henryi, Cornus controversa and Pueraria lobata, Quercus serrata. Growing at base of east facing cliff.
Comment: Tree, 20m., bark scaley, bracts white, fruit-green. Rare and endangered in the wild.
