Environment description:
Along moist ravine on edge of cutover woodland with Acer mandshuricum, Schisandra chinensis, Deutzia sp., Fraxinus rhynchophylla.
Comment:
Height 15meters. DBH 18cm. Leaves aromatic. Fruit in clusters. Yellowish inner bark, chambered pith (tan). Tree ~30 years old. Most valuable wood in Heilongjiang, high quality furniture. Hulls used to treat cancer.
