Environment description: Growing in full sun, dry site, among large boulders in association with Echinops latifolius, Abelia biflora, Quercus mongolica, Saussurea sp., Iris lactea var. chinensis and numerous herbaceous plants.

Comment: Deciduous, multi-stemmed shrub to 1 meter tall; leaves 2.5 to 3.0cm long and 2.5 cm wide, ovate; leaves cupped with undulating leaf margins.
