Environment description: Growing in open full sun site in rocks with soils between; very well-drained; growing 5 meters above the stream in association with Syringa pekinensis, Philadelphus sp., Rhamnus sp. and Clematis sp.
Comment: Deciduous, upright, multi-stemmed shrub with more than 10 stems to 2.5 meters tall and 1 meter wide; leaves oblanceolate, 2 to 3cm long; fruit is an elongate capsule with prominent lenticels; fruit is 1 to 1.5cm long and 0.2 to 0.4 cm wide.
